Has anyone stayed at the Boracay Beach Resort? Hello! I was able to take advantage of the Cebu Pacific P1.00 seat sale and booked ourselves tickets to Boracay this June. Has anyone stayed at the cottages of the Boracay Beach Resort? I got a very good rate from them but I haven't seen the place or read that many reviews. Their website only features their suites. Please let me know if it's an ok place to stay with my husband and 2 year old daughter.

Best secluded beach in the Philippines? Not Boracay, it's too much of a party place for me. Palawan is great but I think the the beach (sand strip) leaves much to be desired. What about Siargao? Can anyone recommend a good resort on a great beach? Camigiun? Thanks!

How can a boxer who has net worth of $26M be broke? Plus this same boxer is a congressman, endorser of Nike with his own MP line, endorser of San Miguel Beer (just the largest beer company in Asia), Magnolia Dairy products, Hewlett Packard, Pacquiao produce etc He also has a McDonalds franchise, Phoenix gasoline station, has his own commercial building, beach resorts in Boracay and Palawan, etc. True he may have "squandered" millions as dole outs for the poor (and hanger ons), how can you say that someone with net worth of $26M be broke? If he's broke, then what that makes us?
Anyone been to Boracay recently? Were the beaches Clean? I am arriving in the Philippines Dec 16 and having some difficulty making up my mind where to go with my fiance for a 7 day romantic, relaxing beach vacation before heading to Olongapo to see family. I keep reading that Boracay is no longer that nice, and that it's beaches are dirty and overcrowded with tourists, is this true? I was leaning more towards Bohol but I'm still not sure. My budget is about $100 a night so Palawan is out of reach for me. Malapascua seems very affordable and quoted to be the "new Boracay" but it is a long journey to get there. And I am coming off of 26 hours travel time to get to Manila from Florida, but staying one night in Manila to recover. Any reccomendations where to stay and which resort to stay in would be greatly appreciated...
Traveling to Boracay? I'm considering vacationing in Boracay during the holidays (last 2 weeks of December) and have the following questions - - What is the best way to get to Boracay from Taiwan? I've heard either fly to Manila and take a ferry to Boracay or fly directly to an airport closer to Boracay? - How is Boracay these days? The beautiful beach/sand is very well known but many fear that the island has gotten way too commercialized and croweded. Is it going to be very busy/crowded during Xmas holidays? - Loding options.. according to the online resource, the average rate seems to be affordable but most hotel/resort website show extremely high rates during the holidays (over $200 USD/night). Is this real? - How is Boracay compared to other beach destinations around the world such as Hawaii (Maui), Cancun Mexico or Maldives? - Heard Cebu is a nice beach destination in the Philippines? Is it recommended over Boracy? Any info is very much appreciated!!!
Station 1- Boracay 3d 2n or 3n4d packages? Does anybody know where I can get a package for 3d2n at station 1 in Boracay, or 3n4days for around 10k for 2pax? I'd prefer a resort that has a lounge by the beach (i.e. Discovery Shores- but too pricey). Help!
What Resort, Villa, Inn, Hotel is the cheapest in Boracay? I'm looking for a place to stay in at Boracay. *Fan or Aircon *Clean *Hot and cold shower *Not beach front or beach front (Whatever) *Whatever Station My budget is PHP 1,000 down. or up to 1,500. for super peak season (Dec. 30, 2009 to January 2, 2010) I'm on a tight budget. And if you can send me the website address, mobile number, or email. Please do. Thanks. I want something which looks like a cottage.... something that's made of wood walls.... like cottages???? but with nice bed.... for 2.... thanks in advance.
How crowded is Boracay these days? I used to go there often up to about 12 years ago. It was very laid back; no high rise, bakery vendors going door to door, great Italian just down white beach (or long beach? I forget) and the English bakery half way across. Bazzura bar was about the liveliest entertainment ... Used to stay at a French guy's resort...Round bungalows. About 500pesos a night. I had a banca (boat) on permanent hire. Great fun sailing around the island. Can you still do that or is it all jet skis and highrise now. Barry - say wha?
Do you know a resort in the Philippines that meets the following criteria? Not a tourist trap like Boracay or Puerto Galera. We prefer peace and relaxation. 3-star, preferably 5000 php or max of 100 usd a night for 2 pax, good comfortable resort nice white sand beach but it doesn't have to be the best with decent reasonably-priced food accessible, close enough to the town I'm thinking of Bohol, Cebu, Camiguin, Surigao, Davao etc. Coron/Busuanga will be nice although I don't know what 3-star resorts they have there. It's amazing how many great beaches we have here. It's too bad most people only know of Boracay and other popular destinations. Thanks.

i want to buy cheap beachfront property in the philippines.....? i already have a filipina wife, so legally theres no problem. she wants something in the Bicol region, but suggestions anywhere in pi are welcomed. i prefer white beaches and not crowded, thats why boracay isnt good for us - but i still want it near a town, nothing too isolated. i would like to rent it out when we are not there so possibly near a resort would be nice... oh and my budget is about $20-50k (dollars) for around 200-400 square meters, we want to design and build our house on this land, thanks! 20-50k for property only - my wife and i have a contractor that will build our house - were just looking for a location to build...
after months of planning? blob, i spent at some amount of money on that stupid wedding planner, after 3 weeks, fired her, she just made everything worse of my fiance and i... instead we're getting married in the philippines, boracay to be exact.. both of our families including our extended families are going to be there for christmas.. so we decided to get married on a beach, so we contacted seawind resort for our wedding, (we're getting married on december this year) everything is prepared from flowers to foods, reception, photographer, wedding gown, invitations, wedding ring, decorations and everything... do you think that it was the right decision for us to just get married married on the beac in boracay? http://youtube.com/watch?v=dCqfUlMyd5Q watch it, my wedding is going to be on that exact place and same phtographer/videographer do you think it's worth it?
Renewing our Vows..Jamaica or Bahamas?? Help!? Hi everyone! My hubby and I are celebrating our 5th yr wedding anniv next year. I have been doing countless research and browsing online but couldn't make up my mind. We are set in staying at any Breezes Resort since they offer complimentary renewal of vows ceremony. We just couldn't decide whether to do it at Breezes Bahamas, Breezes Runaway Bay or Breezes Montego Bay? We both are "MAJOR" beach lovers..I have been raised in a tropical country and for me our beaches are so far the best (boracay in philippines) but I haven't been to any of the carribean places so I might chnage my mind soon. Anyway, I would like to get answers from people who have been to both Jamaica and Bahamas. I am looking for a fun, hot, friendly, romantic place with white prestine beaches..again, I want white-and-fine-as-sugar-sand beaches! I greatly appreciate your response. Thank you!
