My husband and I are looking for a nice beach resort in Florida.? Ideally, I am looking for a town or village-type resort, with pool, activities, food, and room all in the same area. (Not just a hotel.) It must be on the beach and it must be in Florida. Something near central Florida is prefered because we will be visiting my grandmother, who lives close Ocala, Florida immediatly before taking this beach vacation. It would be great to find a more adult location, without too many screaming kids running around. In the past I have loved staying at Sandals and Club Med! I am looking for detailed advice with names of specific resorts that you or someone you know has stayed at. Every web site says their hotel is the best, so I need an unbiased opinion!
What's your favorite beach resort in Florida? I'm looking for something that is more of a village, like Sandals has in the Bahamas. I'm also looking for a clean beach, with white sand and clear water. My fiance wants decent waves, but I would care less. I'm looking to get married there, so something romantic would be nice. Our budget is limited - around $5-7,000, but we're open to all suggestions. Thank you. Also, a nice bar would be nice...preferably, swim-up or on the beach if that's possible.
Nice resorts in Panama City Beach, Florida? My friends and I are looking for a resort/condo/house in Panama City. Were looking at going either June 12-19, or June 19-26. There is going to be 6-8 of us (3-4 couples). The majority of us are 18, with no one over 20. Were looking to be in the heart of everything and close to the nightlife. Preferably on the beach. Please help?!

Where can we stay in Florida that has beach chairs/umbrellas/cabanas and beverage service on the beach? My boyfriend and I are planning a long weekend at a Florida beach in late September. Looking for a hotel/resort on the Gulf side (prettier beaches) where we can sit under an umbrella on the beach and have someone deliver tropical drinks to us (or at least have an outside bar we could walk up to). We'd like to keep it around $150/night. It doesn't sound that difficult, but we haven't had much luck finding a location that fits the bill. Any suggestions?

Any advice on how to make it more romantic and relaxing will be helpful as well. Thanks for the help in advance. I was really looking for a place that has rooms right over the water on stilts. Good honeymoon resorts in the Florida Keys?? Or other honeymoon beach locations in the US? Thank you!? I am getting married in June and I am looking for a good honeymoon spot in the Florida Keys. We would like a Caribbean, tropical beach feel (while staying in the US) so I thought the Keys would be perfect. I haven't had a ton of luck on the the internet so far. Everything is either way too expensive or looks kinda dumpy. I am looking for a nice resort or hotel, on the beach with a pool, for no more than $250 a night? I would like to stay closer to $150-$200 a night. Anyone know of any thing like this? It doesn't have to be right in the Florida Keys either. I would love to hear about any nice beach location in the U.S that is somewhat affordable and good for a romantic honeymoon. Thank you in advance!

What is the best hotel to stay at, in Clearwater Beach, Florida? I have never been to that part of Florida and I am thinking about going in October. I would like an oceanfront hotel. The reason I am asking on here is because I don't really trust hotel/motel sites because I have stayed at some hotels that looked great on the pictures but once I got there, they were dumps. I trust opinions of people who have stayed at the hotels more. So if anyone knows of a nice hotel to stay at please let me know. We will be staying for 4 days. Oh, I can not afford to pay too much for the room. So no expensive resorts please! :-) Thanks everyone!
Florida Resorts? hey! this spring break or summer I'm looking for a resort area (please near the beach..) in Florida to stay in. i'm planning on bringing a friend to Florida with me, so anything that is suitable for kids && family is fine. thanks! :-D
Can anyone recommend a beach resort on Florida gulf coast that has restaurants/bars within walking distance? We are going to Florida in May for one week and would like a beach vacation on the Gulf Coast. We are 2 adult couples travelling from the UK. We would prefer somewhere that is not too far south as we have to fly home from Tampa. We have been to Naples before but found the hotels a bit spread out. We were miles from the beach and had to get taxis to restaurants in the evening as we like a glass of wine! We also found Naples very pricey. Ideally we would like a two bedroom suite/condo close to a nice beach but walking distance to lively restaurants and bars in the evening. Any ideas?
Best beach in Florida on gulf coast to stay at? My family went to Panama City Beach last year and stayed at Edgewater Beach Resort in the Golf Villas. We really enjoyed it there, but were wondering if there are any other beaches kind of near to that that are nicer with Villa's or Suites in the Hotel. Our price range is up to about $230, must have at least 1 bedroom. On the beach or right across the street would be great. So, any advice? =] thanks, tara
Beach Resort in North Florida? My husband and I are from St.Louis and would like to drive down to Florida for a mini weekend getaway. We'd like to find somewhere in North Florida, but would prefer to stay away from the Spring Break hot spots (Pensacola Beach, Panama City Beach, Destin, etc...). Any ideas on some lesser known areas that would have a little bit more of a secluded beach setting?
more info on my florida beach vacation question? thanks to those who responded....i want to drive down from east georgia to somewhere on west side of florida...looking for blue water/white sand.....would like a hotel/resort that is on the beach with beachfront pool and bar, i am taking my wife and leaving the kid at home, so we want a place that is more adult or young adult (not a bunch of young children) where we can just kick back at the pool or on the beach and drink cocktails and gaze at the blue water (and hopefully some nice tans walking by on the beach!), maybe some nice bars/restaurants by the beach too. we have heard about clearwater, siesta key, naples etc. but don['t know where to go. any advice appreciated!
Caribbean Beach Resort - Orlando, Florida? What is this resort like? Is it in a good location? I have read a lot of bad reviews that have put me off staying there a little. Has anyone been there? Please share your experience ... good or bad! Thank You! =o)
Quiet beach resort for honeymoon in Florida? My Fiance and I are starting to look at places to honeymoon. We are getting married August 16th 2008. We want to go to Florida. We are thinking of doing 5-6 days in Orlando and go to Disney (he's been tons, I've never been) and then possibly staying at a beach resort/hotel for another 5-6 days. We may also think of doing the beach resort first, let everything soak in, relax from the wedding craziness and then do Disney. We know where we want to stay in Disney, but we're clueless when it comes to beaches in Flordia. Any suggestions? We're open to anything, we'd like something quiet and secluded right on the beach! TIA!
Best hotels or resorts to stay in with kids in Panama City Beach, FL? Hi, I would like to ask if someone knows the best hotel or resort facing (Gulf of Mexico )ocean and with balcony in Panama City Beach in Florida. I have two little kids too. There is so much choise, but I don't know the area that well, and I don't want to pay for something that isn't nice. Thanks!
Looking for a resort in southern Florida that's affordable and has a wedding package, right on the beach.? Think Bahamas but not. lol I'm not too familiar with Florida. I've been to Orlando and Cocoa Beach. I did not like Cocoa Beach. We originally wanted to go to the Bahamas to get married, but some of my family cannot do the trip. We want to stay at a resort that isn't overcrowded with children...I love them, but I want it to be romantic, and less children the better. I am also looking for locations that have clear water, white sand, waves, and of course...tons of activities. If any of you have suggestions for resorts that you've been married at or not, please, we need all the help we can get. I only expect at most 15-20 guests, but I want the cost to stay at a minimum. I'm also looking for a place that supplies a good photographer, as photography is an obsession of mine. Our budget will probably be about $5-7,000. And the wedding won't be for another year, or year and a half.
Anyone been to Navarre Beach Florida? We are thinking about staying at Summerwind Resort on Navarre Beach. Is it nice? Would you recommend it over Destin or Ft. Walton? What is on Navarre as far as resturants/bars/grocery stores?

Florida Beach Wedding? I'm looking for a place in Florida (probably southern, not sure yet) that has weddings on the beach, without all the bells and whistles? I'm just looking for a hotel/resort that has affordable rooms with a wedding package that isn't thousands of dollars? I don't need a cake and a reception, and all that other stuff. I also want to be about to invite 10-30 people. Thank you!
