Enderts Beach and other Secluded Beaches

Where are the most beautiful beaches in NC for a honeymoon?

Where are some that are pretty but not overly packed. Any suggestions? Or even if you know other beaches that are the same outside NC but in USA. TY!

  1. My grandmother owns a couple of properties at Wrightsville Beach, NC and we love it there. It is actually a small island connected to the mainland by a drawbridge. The island itself is pretty quiet (not many hotels, most is privately owned), but there is also lots to do within a short drive. For example, it is a short drive to downtown Wilmington where there are lots of shops and restaurants along the Cape Fear River, and some tourist things to do since it is a historic town. At Wrightsville Beach, I would definitely suggest doing something on the water, like parasailing or a sunset sailboat ride. http://www.visitwrightsville.com/ Just as a side note, I wouldn't suggest nearby Carolina Beach or Kure Beach, there are both more heavily populated and the atmosphere reminds me of a carnival. I have also read about a beach on the northern coast where you can see wild horses and take a ferry to a private island, here's the site: http://www.tourbeaufort.com/horsesafari.htm
  2. My husband and I went to Corolla NC for our honeymoon. It has some nice beaches. Also I really like Virginia Beach in Virginia.
  3. Oak island in Brunswick county is nice and well located. It is a short drive to Wilmington, Wrightsville beach and the intercoastal waterway. The state aquarium is a ferry ride away, Myrtle beach attractions and shopping is close. The Battle Ship NC, the most decorated ship of ww2 is moored in Wilmington, and open for tour. Shopping and restaurants in the area are great. Biltmore house is a day away. Lots to do.
