Warm secluded beaches on the pacific northern CA coast not over a 4 hr radius of San Francisco?
I'm a 23 yr old woman needing a quiet weekend getaway. If you can think of anything that meets these criteria, I'd really appreciate it! :) -safe -warm -quiet (this may conflict w/safe, but I need to do some thinking, self-reflecting, goal-setting so touristy busy places are out of the question) -not overly expensive or extravagant -hotel overlooking the ocean -not over 4 hrs north of south of SF Thanks again.

- Jenner is kind of nice, lots of nice beaches, and beyond that Bodega Bay. Down south along the San Mateo County Cost are a number of small, sometimes uncrowded beaches. Mendocino County might be out of your range but there are some very nice B&Bs in that neighborhood (these days they're sort of expensive). None of the beaches are warm, but you knew that.
- Consider the Big Sur coastal area, there are a few areas that the tourists shy away from because they are rather remote. I do not know your budget but check out the sites here for an idea of what you can find. It would be about a 3-4 hr drive south of SF http://www.lucialodge.com/mall/c121/s14406/default1.htm http://www.esalen.org/index.html http://www.bigsurcalifornia.org/
- You can try Half Moon Bay, very beautiful. Or Carmel is smaller and quieter but further away. Carmel would definitely be worth looking into for you. Try some travel websites like www.hotels.com or www.travelocity.com
