Looking for a resort in the Philippines..?

HI i am arriving in manila this monday heading home on the 15th feb. staying near the airport when i land ..im sure ill be flying out somewhere for the remainder of the trip..but where is the question, right now i have some places in mind , cebu boracay ive no contacts in either place so they don't have to be the destinations i go..i expect these area's are more expensive because of tourists party folk and all that, il fly anywhere and i have no preference on where (as long as it safe :) i knows its a broad question..but what im looking for is a resort on the beach or a stones trow away from it anywhere in the philippines ..my budgets tough 55 to 60 dollars..... Any pointers be great....

  1. You came at the right time! Go to Boracay!! there's a major event happening in Boracay this coming jan 22-27 a lot of foreigners and media people coming in to witness and cover the event. (here's a press release about it http://www.pressreleasepoint.com/boracay-community-invites-visitors-boracay-international-funboard-cup ) here's the official website of the event http://www.boracaywindsurfing.com/ it's the 21st Boracay International Funboard Cup!!! There's a hotel nearby the event and the beach where you can stay in. The hotel's name is 7Stones Boracay Suites. http://www.7stonesboracay.com Enjoy!! Trish
  2. I highly recommend Palmas Del Mar in Bacolod. It's right on the beach and near Mombucal Hot Springs and there is plenty of nightlife at the Golden fields complex. Plenty of nice Bars, restaurants and a casino. The food and service at Palmas is excellent and has a nice relaxing homey atmosphere with 3 swimming pools. My first choice favorite resort. Within your budget. Very safe and peace full and 30 min from the airport (40 min flight from Manila). The hotel evan can arrange pu service. http://www.palmasdelmarresort.net/
  3. I was in Cebu 2 yrs ago and it is less expensive than some other places, there were nice beaches there and the night life was good also, malls etc.
