Enderts Beach and other Secluded Beaches

Is California as gorgeous as it looks?

I've travelled round many places in the world with my job most of which have been in the east. However I have seen an advert on the TV in the UK advertsing California as being a beautiful place to live. I really really fancy going. Any advice on best place to visit there? I'd like to see the beaches for sure. Many Thanks

1. Redwoods, Sequoia, and Yosemite are a must.
2. YES!! YES!! YES!! It is very beautiful! Go to San Diego and go to a padre game at petco park. Also you have to go to La Jolla cove! and Pacific Beach (PB)and Ocean Beach (OB). and go to Valentine's Mexican restaurant. All in SD. :)
3. I have visited California many times. I will give it its dues. It has a bit of everything. From north to south. You could spend 5 years and not see it all. So I would make a list of what I wished most to see. And then see them first. Mountains,deserts,Beach's,Big city's,to hick towns, All nationalities, and all foods can be found. Many languages spoke. It lacks but one thing. And that is a Great river.
4. Yes, geographically California is a very beautiful state. As a place to live it's a different animal. It's drastically over crowded, over taxed, over priced, the jobs are gone, and more people are moving OUT than are moving in. Also for some strange reason every other person in the U.K. seems to ask about how to move here. I don't get it.
5. It all depends as to where. I live in California and I found North Carolina to gorgeous.
6. All the other answers are correct and California does have beautiful areas + lots to do. The coast is also beautiful - and in the way the Amalfi Coast and the Croatian Coast are beautiful. Also similar in that they are all quite arid areas. However, I am not sure about the beaches in southern California themselves being beautiful. It may be more the sort of beach culture you may find in the summertime and which is featured in Hollywood films that could be so attractive.
