Enderts Beach and other Secluded Beaches

Does anyone know of a secluded beach in Orange County?

I am planning something very special for my girlfriend and I need somewhere that is secluded that may have a cliff overlooking a beach. I am planning to light tea lights that spell something out and I need somewhere where my candles won't be in the way.

  1. Pretty much anywhere south of the San Onofre Nuclear plant
  2. how about going past seal beach pier there is a secluded beach there. good luck with the planning.
  3. Two BIG problems. There really isn't any secluded beaches in Southern California. Not really secluded. Second is the fact that California is in a drought condition. Lighting candles in a public place could start a fire, and in some communities beside being prosecuted for arson, you may be held liable for the costs of putting the fire out. While that may sound romantic, it's a BAD idea.
  4. OK, about the tea lights: That's a great idea, but the reality is that the beach is too windy, and your candles will probably blow out. And they would be a HUGE fire hazard. That would really be tragic if you started a fire. But here's the solution: Electric tea candles. I was at Costco last fall, and bought about 2 dozen of them for about 50 cents each. We use them for pumpkin lighting, patio tea candles, and even for Christmas luminarias. They even flicker! Look around for them. If you put them in little holders, you can't tell they aren't real. As for a secluded spot, you're going to need a helper. At Crescent Bay Point Park in Laguna Beach, there is a nice overlook, and pretty secluded. However, you'll need a helper to set it up and guard it from intruders, since there's no guarantee that someone wouldn't come along and spoil the setup. Good luck!
