on my way to puerto rico to live?
I am flying into san juan and I know no one and speak no spanish will be leaving within the week any last minute advice. I will be homeless on arrival and I will have very little money. (75 dollars) I am claiming unemployment but it will only last another couple of months its only two hundred dollars a week. some have told me to go to faja-? an Island that was an old navy base and to camp out on secluded beaches out of sight until I find work and a place to stay. any more advice? or helpful information? this is my own personal adventure vacation of sorts if I dont find work or it proves to be to difficult I do have a saftey net and plan people I am not homeless now and only sissies need hotels I am a 34 year black male with a bachelors in psychology, twenty years of construction background and I was a boyscout. I am a fully functioning and capable member of society. my question i deicted to knowledgeable and mature individuals who genuinely have a desireto help others. thank you I directed**

- learn spanish. why are you going if you have hardly any money no where to live and nojob? sounds a bit depressing to me.
- sorry my friend you chose the wrong place to be homeless. -Pretty much everyone speak english -$75 will not even cover for a hotel -How would u get your unemployment if you dont have a mailing address? -Fajardo is part of PR, Vieques used to be the old Navy base, however that was shared by the locals. -Unless you go to the rain forest, you wont find a secluded place. -Most Puerto Rican are well educated with Masters or PHDs degrees and even for them its hard to find employment. -Im not sure what are your circumstances, but I will try to stay in a more "homeless" state.
- Its "Fajardo" https://www.puertorico-explore.com/Welcome_to_Puerto_Rico.html
- Your adventure sounds totally awesome! You should not have a hard time getting a job with your experience and degree. You will be okay with $200 a week in the less turisty areas farther away from san juan. like arecibo, utuado, jayuya, lares, camuy. All areas before mentioned are less crime rates. check out any places that might offer you work for housing, ect. Don't less to critical people...the unemployment rate is bad here but it is everywhere and if you really want to work then you will. Otherwise enjoy the beautiful scenery.
