Does anyone know any BEAUTIFUL beaches in New Jersey to have beach wedding?

  1. NJ doesn't have beautiful beaches http://www.oceanplaceresort.com/weddings_and_special_events/
  2. Depends on your defination of "beautiful" is. That might be hard to find in the armpit of America. "Jersey girls aren't trash. Trash gets picked up" -saw it on a tshirt.
  3. Avalon and Stone Harbor are absolutely beautiful. Mulit-million dollar homes on the beach and no boardwalk - which is a good thing if you want a classy resort type of beach experience. These aren't huge tourist beaches, either - so it's more private and less commercial - perfect for a wedding.
  4. guh I hate Jersey bashers. The majority of the state is actually really nice if you look beyond the Turnpike corridor which is what most people only see. With that said.... :-) You can find gorgeous beaches if you look beyond the usual tourist traps. Avoid places like Wildwood, Seaside, Point Pleasant, etc. Cape May, Avalon, and Stone Harbor get rave reviews for their beauty.... the northern end of Long Beach Island is ritzy and more secluded than the island's southern tourist traps... if you're looking more north, I'd say around Spring Lake, Deal, etc. Monmouth County has some VERY ritzy and non-tourist-trappy beaches.
  5. Cape May, Cape May, Cape May! And the Jersey haters better not show up in my neighborhood!
  6. Cape May, Stone Harbor, Avalon and Wildwood Crest are all beautiful beaches. The Crest is the largest and will be the most accommodating. Cape May is beautiful, and features the promenade. (But be careful--if you get married in Cape May during tourist season, the city makes you buy a beach tag for every guest. Even if they are only on the beach with you for 15 minutes.) Stone Harbor has a nice covered area on 101st Street, and I believe Avalon has some, too. Good luck! It's fun to plan a wedding down here.
  7. Wildwood, New Jersey. But you may have to get permission from the town. Inquire.
  8. There are countless resturants on the shore that host wedding ceremonies. I know some secret spots that I will tell you about if you want to avoid paying those places. I teach boating and own a sailboat in Barnegat Bay. See my profile and email me. david07003
