What is your favorite city that you have visited or lived in?
I'm seeking a place that has warm & sunny weather year round (or at least a short winter), plenty of greenery (not just parks within a city) with panoramic views & bodies of water, yet within close proximity to a lively European-like city with historic buildings and beautiful architecture, cafes, museums, and bookstores where I can walk for hours.Safety, job availability,& affordability is also a must. I've lived in the suburbs & a large university town of NJ, San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, & the island of Oahu in Hawaii.I've also visited NYC,Philly,&Prague.I really love Hawaii's weather, mountain ranges, green countryside, secluded beaches, & I fell in love with the history & architecture of Prague.I enjoy the cafes & used bookstores of San Francisco, museums & clubs of NYC and Philly, & the academic opportunities of a college town.I'm not much in need of endless shopping outlets, crazy nightlife, or tons of tourism. Am I being too idealistic or does a place like this exist?? Thanks

- I love San Diego and the suburbs of San Diego. I also love The small towns outside of Tuscon, AZ. I love the west because it does get hot but everywhere is airconditioned and it is for hte most part affordable. There is also a lot of rich history and always something to discover. I also love northern california, washington state (which has great colleges and universities that people tend to forget about) and oregon. Oregon is nice and quiet and you do get most seasons but not too bad, extreme weather wise. I think that portland oregon would be a good place to live. Theres also Colorado if you dont mind the elevation!
- San Francisco, visited.
- you already know the answer, otherwise, try Seattle. see more you didn't see before in http://www.bayareavisit.com/photos.html
- Sure it does. Nantucket Massachusetts. Surrounded by water, lots of historical buildings, lively European like somewhat, small town charm yes, cafes yes, museums yes, bookstores yes, walk for hours yes, safety yes, job availability yes, affordability if you are young and willing to make compromises yes. Now about the weather. In late fall just after Halloween move to San Diego you will find all the same there and then in early April or so go back to Nantucket.
- Niagra Falls in new york .. you can also cross the boarder to Canada.. the waterfalls are breath taking ..lots of beautiful sites. Niagra Falls is one of the Seven wounders of the world..
- I would suggest: Monterrey, CA Carmel, CA Bainbridge Island, WA Wilmington, NC
