Enderts Beach and other Secluded Beaches

Are the beaches beautiful in Puerto Rico?

We are thinking about traveling to puerto rico the end of March. Which part of the island has lots of activities and entertainment? Also, is the water blue at the beaches, like at the other carribean islands? If you have any other advise, please let me know. Thanks!

  1. i guess it depends what islands you are talking about. i was disappointed in Puerto Rico's beaches we went to 3 of them the best one being liquillo beach but they aren't as nice as say Bermuda or Antigua
  2. You may enjoy Rincon Beach. The resorts at the links below has many activities and lively entertainment. And the water looks beautiful but not as turquoise as other parts of the Caribbean such as Cuba. Now Cuba has clear turquoise waters and powdery white sand. Try and get closer to the Caribbean Sea (near the Atlantic) and you'll most likely get more turquoise waters....less high waves and more calm surface and ideal for snorkelling.
  3. yes try going to Flamenco Beach in Culebra...Vieques...on the south of the island (Guanica) visit Guilligan's Island and Ballena Island... www.gotopuertorico.com
  4. Puerto Rico has all kinds of great beaches. It just depends what you really want. All the beaches have blue clear water in PR & in the whole caribbean. The best thing about PR is that there is so much to do. 1. San Juan is the biggest city in PR. This is a tourist area & you will find shopping, restaraunts, casinos, nightlife & attractions. There is a lot of historical sights here, including El Morro, an ancient spanish warfort overlooking the ocean, a must see. The cobblestone streets of Old San Juan are a nice setting. Then to top it all off there are some pretty nice beaches here. Isla Verde & Condado being the best. ----------------------- 2. Fajardo on the east coast is another great destination. El Yunque rain forrest is here. You canwalk through the trails & see parrots, humming birds, lizards & coqui frogs. Then you can swim in La Mina waterfalls. Also PR has 3 bioluminescent bays, this is where the water glows in the dark when you youch it. There is one here called Las Croabas Lagoon. You can take a kayak tour & touch the water, Amazing! Luquillo Beach & Seven Seas Beach here are nice golden sand beaches. ----------------------------- 3. Culebra & Vieques are small islands off the coast of PR. You take a ferry from Fajardo to get here. If you are looking for white sand & crystal clear water then Flamenco beach in Culebra or Red Beach in Vieques are the place to go. It is very beautiful & practically secluded. Vieques also has a bio bay called Mosquito bay. ------------------------ 4. Rincon on the west coast is a cool, laid back type of surf town. The beaches have amber colored sand & the waves are great. You can surf, do water sports, relax, horseback ride on the beach & even whalewatching during the winter. ----------------------
  5. i went to san juan, puerto rico and the beaches were pretty much the same as on the jersey shore. obviously the puerto rican beaches are much warmer, but it was still awesome :)
