Public Comments

  1. Malibu or Laguna Beach.
  2. Laguna Beach Temecula Wine Country Seaside San Francisco Napa Valley Lake Tahoe Area
  3. Pacific Coast Highway, Big Sur, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey, San Simeon. All along the Central California Coast. Wish I was going...
  4. disneyland santa monica pier hb pier
  5. Carmel has some really breathtaking beaches and scenery. And while you're in Carmel, you can also visit the stunning Monterey Bay Aquarium which is just a short drive away.
  6. I only know of two since I used to live in South Cali. Long Beach/Laguna Beach
  7. The most beautiful Southern California beach is Laguna Beach. The most beautiful Northern California beach is Baker Beach (near the Golden Gate) The other most beautiful place in California that's not a beach is Yosemite.
  8. Wow, there are so many places, but here's a few ideas (I'll try to go north to south): Lake Tahoe- In the Sierra Nevada, skiing in winter, hiking, fishing, boating. Biggest lake in California (on the border with Nevada). Napa Valley wine country San Francisco- A great mix of old and new architecture & culture Monterey Bay- Take highway 17 from 101 to Santa Cruz. Take highway 1 to Monterey. See the aquarium, Cannery Row, Carmel-by-the-Sea, 17-mile Drive. Highway 1- Big Sur, San Simeon- The Santa Lucia mountains rise straight out of the sea. The drive is a bit slow and windy, but breathtaking. Visit Hearst Castle. Highway 101 from Paso Robles to Santa Barbara- This is where the Happy Cows live, in rolling hills. Yosemite- Absolutely breathtaking. Yosemite Valley can be crowded, but there's a reason for it: the beauty. Can't get enough of it. Santa Barbara- Great example of mission architecture. Right on the beach, casual atmosphere. Carpinteria- World's Safest Beach, cute little beach town. Pacific Coast Highway from Oxnard to Santa Monica- This is a wonderful drive along the coast. Malibu is highly overrated, since all you are looking at are the garages of the people who live on the beach, blocking your view. Sure, if you lived there, it would be great. Santa Monica/Venice Beach- Not really beautiful, but VERY interesting place to people watch. Must be seen to be believed. Manhattan, Hermosa, Huntington, Newport, Laguna Beaches- This is what you expect to see in LA/Orange County area. Nice clean beaches, lots of hard bodies, etc. San Diego Area- La Jolla and Coronado have beautiful beaches that are great for relaxing. Have fun!
  9. gotta put my vote in for the John Muir Redwoods state park just north of San Francisco. Just as fantastic as the big trees up in northern california, but much closer to everything else.
