Can you pick an African country you would like to visit and say why.?

My choice is Mozambique. Reason is partially historical blood ties (my great grandma was enslaved there) but mostly the beaches were once deemed the most beautiful in the world but places were destroyed by departing er... umm. visitors and then the country was embroiled in a civil war. I have seen more recent pictures and I have to go there. Have to. Must. Your turn. Some great answers so far. Sarg - I'm sure all the people answering will agree that you should be sent back to your racist ancestral home of hell. Go and waste someone else's space.

Ethiopia, so I could see where the Ark of the Covenant is held.
Egypt I went there in the winters it was awesome but i would never want to live in egypt .Oh and i love the food and archtecture is beutiful.
Nigeria. I know a lot of Nigerians and they say that it is nice. I would like to see that for myself. I love culture. Furthermore, this is where my ancestors originated from (West Africa) prior to the Atlantic slave trade.

Ghana b/c I believe that's where my great great grandmother came from and my aunt and uncle's best friends ((they're a married couple)) are from ghana...well, the wife is...and in ghana she's rich...she has maids and everything and has so much gold she can't bring it back to america. I honestly wanna go to Ethiopia and Somalia...lol I just wanna go all over africa
Well I'm not too enthusiastic about Africa, having lived here my whole life but Egypt would be the only place I'd want to see, for obvious reasons.
Ethiopia... the home of the Queen of Sheba. And because I have friends from there I am interested in their culture.
Liberia because of its unique history. Freed black slaves from America set up colonies there....I think it would be intersting to visit. I would also like to visit Ghana, my sister went there and had nothing but great things to say about it.

It's a tie between Ghana and Nigeria. Both have thriving newspaper, radio and TV outlets, and as a radio news anchor, I want to see how they run things in their stations and offices. Nigeria has the most newspapers per person of any single country in the world.
Morroco or Egypt. I hope to honeymoon in egypt to be that close to something so ancient, proof of life, thousands of years ago it amazes me. Morroco just has so much art and history and culture I would love to go absorb oh and food.
