Another St. Thomas Question?
After reviewing former answers to my posts, I feel better equipped to make a decision on where to stay but need a bit more info. Are there any hotels (not condos) close enough to a swimmable beach? Secret Harbour looks great, beach looks great but am leary of staying in a condo owned by individual owners and on the sand. We are traveling during low season(hurricane) so was thinking a hotel near but not right on the sand would be better. ALSO, where is the best part of the island not too secluded from life and where we can access things easily like ferry's shops, etc. Is there a windy side of the island like Kehei in Maui? I have narrowed my hotel stays to Frenchmnans Reef Secret Harbour Bolongo bay Having a hard time making a decision I have heard horrible things about the Ritz so am staying away.

- Sorry, I never stay in hotels when I'm down there - always on a boat. Have you checked TripAdvisor.com?
- we are staying in the wyndham in 2 wekks and has a small beach. I am not one to stay in one place so we decided to go AL and rent a car so we could go to other beaches. We are swimming with dolphins in tortola, submarine, bbq on beach and boat on a catimarane(sp).Get allinclusive and a car and go where you want . do not stay out anywhere past 10:00pm and bring your watershoes.visit swazzletravel.com for travel needs.good luck on your trip!
- You will be fine at Secret Harbour. Any resort on St Thomas will be affected if a hurricane blows through. You are worrying too much. The beach on Secret Harbour is not wide open, it's sheltered by some land. You will go to a shelter. Good Luck and have a great trip)
