Enderts Beach and other Secluded Beaches

What tropical island has minimal tourism and a low number of inhabitants that US citizens can live on?

Looking for a tropical island or subtropical island with tropical waters that is either secluded, not heavily toured or has a low number of inhabitants (relatively speaking). Any ideas? I just want to get away to a secluded area I can put up a hammock and lay on the beach for eternity. oh yeah.. and its not a requirement.. but a beach bar somewhere in the area would be nice.. so I can get some tropical drinks

  1. Vancouver Island is a very nice island. Canada is the best. We have the best hockey. Hockey is fun! YAY!
  2. Check out the Azores islands, beautiful off the beaten track gem.
  3. St. Kitts is a college town kind of island with minimal tourism and a smaller population. Disney has a private island, and despite the tourists, it is very secluded and beautiful. But if you really want to get away from it all, consider buying or renting a private island in the Bahamas. It's expensive, but you'll have the beauty and nature all to yourself for as long as you want. Here's some resources: http://www.bahamas-travel.info/private_islands.htm and http://www.bahamasb2b.com/real-estate
  4. Guimeras Island in the Philippines. Home of the worlds sweetest fruit (Guimeras Mango).
  5. Try Haiti. Very little tourists but you might just get eaten by cannibal voodooists.
  6. Philippine Islands
